White Tara takes its name from the Buddhist goddess of compassion, healing and long life — and that is exactly the spirit of this space.

We opened White Tara in Almada to offer something that is getting harder to find: unhurried, hands-on care. Every session starts with a short conversation about how your body feels that day — where it hurts, where it holds tension, what you need. Then the phone goes on silent, the lights go down, and the next hour belongs to you.

We created this massage and spa wellness centre on Rua Comandante António Feio as a place where Almada can slow down: a sanctuary for tired bodies from Cacilhas to Costa da Caparica, and for everyone on the Margem Sul who believes caring for your body shouldn’t require crossing the river — or paying Lisbon hotel-spa prices.

Visiting Lisbon? We're one ferry ride away

Many of our guests discover us while exploring the other side of the Tagus. After days of walking Lisbon’s hills, a professional massage is the reset your body is asking for — and White Tara is a 10-minute ferry ride from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas, followed by a short walk or one stop on the metro. Combine your visit with the Cristo Rei viewpoint and lunch by the river in Cacilhas, and return to Lisbon lighter than you left. Sessions are available in English, and same-day bookings are often possible by WhatsApp.

I went today to this Thai Massage in White Tara. It's a new open place, with a special offer with 25% for June, so perfect to try it out. Also the normal price for 1 h is cheaper than other places (45€). I can really recommand it, the woman is really lovely and take care about you. She asked me, if the pressure is enough and addapted to more stronger, which was perfect. She also asked me if she should do to massage the belly part and let me without rushing to rest 5 minutes after the full body thai massage, which is perfect for a relaxed finish and I never had before. I feel so much relaxed and released of muscle strongness / stiffness after now. I got also tea and water after and could sit down and had a warm talk with her. Also they have a bonus card, if you come 7 times to get one free or for a special price (I'm not sure which is right, but she will explain to you). I will go in two weeks again there. Really recommand it and had already other Thai massages in Lisbon and Almada, so I can compare. Enjoy your massage.

I got a Thai Oil massage and it was great. Tara was very skilled and professional. She adjusted pressure when needed and really helped me relax my body. I would definitely recommend her.

Yesterday I was passing through Almada and decided to get a foot massage. It was such an amazing experience. Pasang was very kind and professional, and I felt extremely relaxed afterwards. She did the massage wonderfully well. I would definitely recommend it!😊
