Welcome to White Tara — Healing Therapy Massage & Spa Wellness, located at R. Cmte. António Feio 113B, 2800-257 Almada, Portugal.

These Terms & Conditions explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you when you book and receive a treatment. By booking an appointment — in person, by phone, or by WhatsApp — you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them before your visit.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to all treatments, bookings, and services provided by White Tara. They may be updated from time to time; the version published on our website at the time of your booking is the one that applies. If anything here is unclear, please ask us before your appointment and we will be glad to explain.

2. Our services

White Tara provides professional, non-medical massage and wellness treatments, including Swedish, deep tissue, Thai, Ayurvedic, and hot stone massage, foot reflexology, face massage, and body rituals.

Our treatments are intended for relaxation and general wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. If you have a health concern, please consult a doctor or qualified healthcare professional.

3. Bookings & appointments

Appointments can be made by WhatsApp, phone, or in person. Your booking is confirmed once we reply to confirm the treatment, date, and time.

Please arrive a few minutes early so your session can begin and end on time.
We may ask for a brief description of any health conditions when you book, so we can prepare the most suitable treatment.
We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking where we cannot safely or appropriately provide the treatment.

4. Cancellations, rescheduling & no-shows

We understand that plans change. If you need to cancel or move your appointment, we ask that you let us know at least 24 hours in advance by WhatsApp or phone.

More than 24 hours’ notice: free to cancel or reschedule.
Less than 24 hours’ notice or a no-show: we may charge a cancellation fee of up to the full treatment price, particularly for repeated occurrences.

Because we hold a dedicated time slot just for you, late cancellations mean another client could not be seen. Giving notice helps us care for everyone.

5. Late arrivals

If you arrive late, we will do our best to give you the full experience, but your session may need to end at the originally scheduled time so that the next guest is not kept waiting. The full treatment price still applies.

6. Prices & payment

Current prices are shown on our website and in the salon. Prices may change from time to time, but the price confirmed at the time of your booking is the price you pay.

Payment is due at the end of your treatment unless agreed otherwise.
Promotional offers and discounts cannot be combined unless we state so, and may have their own conditions or end dates.

7. Gift vouchers & loyalty card

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Please present your voucher at the time of your appointment.
Loyalty card: our loyalty card rewards regular visits. The reward and the number of visits required are as explained at the time you receive your card. Loyalty rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred or combined with other offers unless we say so.

8. Health, medical conditions & your responsibility

Your wellbeing comes first. To keep your treatment safe, please tell your therapist before your session about any of the following:

Pregnancy, recent surgery, or recent injury.
Heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or circulatory problems.
Skin conditions, allergies, infections, or open wounds.
Any other medical condition, or any medication that may affect your treatment.

You are responsible for giving accurate and complete information. Some conditions may mean a treatment needs to be adapted or is not suitable, and we may decline a treatment on health and safety grounds. Massage is provided for relaxation and general wellbeing and is not a medical or diagnostic service.

9. Professional conduct & mutual respect

White Tara is a strictly professional, therapeutic environment. All treatments are non-sexual, and any request or behaviour of a sexual nature is not tolerated.

We reserve the right to refuse service or to end a treatment immediately, with the full fee payable, if a client behaves inappropriately, disrespectfully, or in a way that makes our team uncomfortable or unsafe. In return, we promise to treat you with the same courtesy, discretion, and respect at all times.

10. Age & minors

Clients under the age of 18 may only receive a treatment with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must be present or reachable during the appointment. We may ask for the guardian’s authorisation before proceeding.

11. Personal belongings & liability

Please look after your personal belongings during your visit; we cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost, damaged, or left behind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, White Tara is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot be limited under Portuguese law.

12. Privacy & your data

Any personal or health information you share with us is treated with care and confidentiality, and used only to provide and manage your treatments. We handle your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese data-protection law. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these terms & governing law

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, and the current version will always be available on our website. These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
